The Scarpa Vortex features a chunky Vibram sole unit which is exclusive to this model and designed to give excellent mechanical grip on loose and wet terrain. The bonded and lasted construction add to the outright strength and durability. The fabric and suede upper works in conjuction with a free running lace system to make the Vortex one of the easiest shoes to get on and off, while still giving a great hold across the foot. The Gore-Tex membrane ensures a fully waterproof walking shoe.Â
