Directions

By Car:
Route 1: M5 to Exeter, leave at Junction 31, follow A30 dual carriageway, take A386 signposted Bude onto A3079 via Halwill to A3072 to Holsworthy.
Route 2: M5 to Exeter, A30 to Launceston then A388 to Holsworthy.
Route 3: M5 to Junction 27 at Tiverton, take North Devon link road A361 to Barnstaple, join A39 Atlantic Highway to Bude, take A3072 to Holsworthy.

The main road through Holsworthy from all directions passes by Lloyds Bank. Opposite the bank is the entrance to the square, Wroes can be found two thirds of the way along the left hand side. Free car parking is available in the square every day except Market day on Wednesdays.

About Holsworthy

The ancient market town of Holsworthy, situated amidst the rolling green hills of Tarka Country in North Devon. There are many natural attractions within a short distance, the rugged cliffs of the Hartland Peninsula, sandy beaches at Bude and nearby Widemouth Bay, the South West Coastal Path, fishing and boating on the Tamar and Roadford Lakes. Holsworthy is an ideal central base for visiting the main attractions of Devon and Cornwall and for discovering Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor, and will become one of the hubs for the Ruby Trail development, offering a network of rural walks, cycle paths and bridleways connecting to the famous Tarka Trail and Dartmoor.

Holsworthy itself offers many attractions, pastimes, recreational activities and accommodation are well catered for. There is a heated swimming pool, sports hall, splendid park with a bowling green, cricket club and tennis court. Come along to Holsworthy football ground and cheer our local team along! Just outside Holsworthy is an 18-hole golf course, at the nearby Tamar and Roadford Lakes there is fishing and sailing. There are several other fisheries in the area, horse riding and archery are but some of the other interests that you can take part in. Reflect on times past in the newly fascinating Holsworthy Museum. For the energetic there is cycling along quiet country lanes, and the developing Tamar Trail cycleway, savour the true atmosphere of rural Devon. There are, of course, some great country walks in the area.
